Position Summary Codoxo is seeking a motivated Software Engineering Intern to join our team for the summer. This role is ideal for a student who is passionate about software development, artificial intelligence, and automation. The intern will work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to develop AI-powered tools, automate business processes, and support initiatives that improve productivity across the organization. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain experience applying emerging AI technologies to solve real-world business challenges in healthcare technology. Personal responsibility, curiosity, attention to detail, creativity, and a collaborative mindset are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and test AI-powered automations and internal productivity tools Develop workflows using generative AI, large language models (LLMs), APIs, and automation platforms Assist in creating prototypes and proof-of-concepts for AI-driven business solutions Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to identify automation opportunities Support integration of AI capabilities into existing applications and business processes Analyze workflows and recommend improvements through automation and process optimization Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Participate in code reviews, testing, and team collaboration activities Research emerging AI technologies and present findings to the team

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field Experience with at least one programming language such as Python, JavaScript, PHP, Java, or C# Strong interest in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and automation technologies Familiarity with APIs, web applications, and software development fundamentals Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team

Preferred Qualifications

Experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar platforms Exposure to automation tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate, or similar technologies Familiarity with Python scripting and API integrations Experience with Git and version control Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience building personal, academic, or open-source software projects Interest in healthcare technology, data analytics, or applied AI What You'll Gain Hands-on experience building AI and automation solutions in a high-growth technology company Exposure to real-world healthcare AI applications Mentorship from experienced software engineers and data scientists Opportunities to contribute to meaningful projects with measurable business impact Experience working in a collaborative and innovative technology environment Physical Requirements Work is performed in an office environment (either in our office or remotely) and requires the ability to work on a computer, operate standard office equipment, and work at a desk.
