[Remote] Technical Project Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Milestone Technologies, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with a background in biotech, pharma, or life sciences. The role involves leading the business lifecycle for SAP S4/HANA implementation, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the business lifecycle for the SAP S4/HANA implementation, ensuring alignment with business goals and timelines
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders across business, technology, and vendor teams to drive program milestones and deliverables
- Serve as a primary liaison between business (test script readiness, validation activities, business readiness), technology (IQ, OQ, technical change control), and vendor implementation teams to ensure seamless coordination
- Develop, manage, and monitor the detailed program plan, breaking down micro-goals and dependencies using tools such as Smartsheet, MS Project, and Jira
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies across workstreams, proactively connect the dots, and escalate as needed to mitigate program impact
- Act as a trusted deputy to the Director, stepping in to support or lead key activities during their absence or high workload periods
- Drive continuous improvement and bring fresh, innovative ideas to optimize program execution and stakeholder collaboration
- Facilitate cross-functional communication and reporting to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned with program progress
- Support business readiness activities including testing assurance and validation compliance
Skills
- Candidates MUST come from a biotech/pharma/life sciences background
- SAP and S4/Hana experience is required
- STRONG Smartsheet experience
- Proven experience (typically 12+ years) as a Program Manager in large-scale SAP/ERP implementations (preferred SAP S4/HANA)
- Strong knowledge of SAP supply chain processes
- Demonstrable expertise in program lifecycle management including scoping, planning, execution, monitoring, and go-live coordination
- Experience working directly with clients, internal business and technology stakeholders, and vendor implementation partners
- Strong proficiency with program and project management tools including Smartsheet, MS Project, and Jira
- Excellent capability to see the big picture and connect detailed activities across multiple workstreams in complex, matrixed environments
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and adapt to changing priorities
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to travel as required to support program needs (minimum travel expected)
- Prior experience stepping into senior leadership roles or acting as an escalation point is a plus
- User Acceptance Testing and Confirmation
- Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Expertise in change management

- Aptitude to adjust to change
- SAP experience required (S4/Hana a plus)
- PMP Certification or equivalent
