[Remote] Sr. Product Designer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Samsara is the pioneer of the Connected Operations™ Cloud, enabling organizations to harness IoT data for actionable insights. The Sr. Product Designer will lead design initiatives, collaborate with engineering and product teams, and directly engage with customers to enhance their operational experiences.
Responsibilities
- Lead large, ambiguous projects, shipping high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform the strategy
- Influence the design team through mentorship and actively contribute to shaping our culture
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
Skills
- 6+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web & mobile applications
- Proven comparable design expertise in interaction and visual design
- A strong portfolio and / or case studies showcasing design craft and ability to solve user-problems with quantified impact. *We cannot consider applications without a portfolio at this time.*
- Demonstrated proficiency in using AI tools (e.g. Cursor, Figma Make) to accelerate workflows, boost creativity, and prototype efficiently
- Track record of strategic influence and shipping impact
- Ability to engage effectively with customers for research and strategy
- Thrives in iterative, fast-paced environments
- Excellent proven experience working with cross-functional partners
