They are seeking a Backend Engineer to design and scale systems that support their products, focusing on building APIs, services, and ensuring system performance and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Design and build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that support Collate’s products
- Ensure systems are performant, secure, and reliable at scale
- Collaborate with product, design, and ML teams to turn ideas into production-ready features
- Build internal tools and workflows that accelerate engineering productivity
- Continuously improve backend architecture to support rapid growth and new capabilities
Skills
- Experience designing and scaling backend systems in production
- Strong skills in building APIs and services, with attention to reliability and performance
- Comfort working across the stack when needed, with a focus on backend depth
- Ability to move quickly while building for long-term maintainability
- Excitement to work in an early-stage startup where ownership is high and impact is immediate
