They are seeking a Plaintiff Consumer Finance Litigation Attorney to manage their own docket of cases, negotiate settlements, conduct legal research, and collaborate with a team, all while working remotely.
Responsibilities
- Manage an independent docket of plaintiff-side consumer finance litigation matters from intake through resolution
- Negotiate settlements on behalf of consumer clients, advocating for maximum recovery
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and correspondence
- Analyze FCRA and related consumer finance claims and develop litigation strategies
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and courts
- Collaborate with team members on case strategy and legal development
- Stay current on developments in consumer finance law, FCRA, and related regulatory frameworks
Skills
- Active California Bar license (required)
- 2+ years of experience as a practicing attorney
- Strong writing, negotiation, and case management skills
- Self-directed with the ability to manage a full docket independently
- Comfortable working remotely in a distributed team environment
- Plaintiff-side litigation experience strongly preferred
- Consumer finance law background a significant plus; FCRA experience especially valued
