[Remote] Lead Platform Engineer (Python)

This role involves modernizing core systems, scaling data infrastructure, and establishing a technical foundation for future growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of core platform services and infrastructure
- Help define the architecture for the next generation of the platform
- Build scalable backend systems and data pipelines capable of processing large volumes of data
- Partner closely with engineering leadership on technical strategy and system design
- Mentor and elevate junior engineers through technical leadership and best practices
- Balance immediate product needs with long-term platform investments
Skills
- Extensive experience building and scaling backend platforms
- Strong Python development experience
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and modern software architecture
- Experience designing systems that support growth and increasing scale
- Strong systems design capabilities and architectural judgment
- Passion for mentoring and technical leadership
- Cybersecurity or threat intelligence experience
- Fraud prevention or risk analytics experience
- Data engineering or large-scale data processing background
- Experience with data quality, analytics, or statistical systems
