Discovery Attorney
Now Hiring: Associate Attorney (Product Liability - Discovery Focus) Newport Beach, CA | Hybrid (90% Remote) $100K-$170K + Bonus | 1_+ years litigation experience I'm working with a highly respected litigation team looking to add an Associate Attorney to its product liability defense practice. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex automotive/product cases with a specialized focus on discovery strategy-not courtroom appearances. The team is known for its strong mentorship, low turnover, and collaborative culture. What You'll Do:
- Handle written discovery, analysis, and issue spotting
- Manage large-scale document review and production
- Support meet & confer and motion strategy (analysis only)
- Work closely with clients and trial counsel
- Dive into technical issues involving product design & engineering

Key Responsibilities
Draft and respond to written discovery and objections Analyze claims and identify key issues (e.g., defect theories, recalls) Manage and review large volumes of documents for responsiveness and production Track and organize discovery workflows across multiple cases Support meet-and-confer efforts and motion-to-compel strategy (analysis only) Collaborate with clients and outside trial counsel Assist with deposition preparation and discovery-related trial support Handle technically complex subject matter related to product development and performance Scope of Role No court appearances No motion drafting (analysis and input only) No deposition attendance (preparation support only) Heavy emphasis on discovery, analysis, and coordination
Qualifications
