Contract - PowerBI Developer - Remote
Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract Power BI Developer to join our team remotely. This role offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in data visualization, business intelligence, and data analysis to drive impactful insights across various projects. As a key contributor, you will develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure the seamless integration of data from multiple sources. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that meet business requirements
- Collaborate with business analysts and project managers to gather detailed specifications and translate them into effective visualizations
- Integrate data from diverse sources including SQL Server, Oracle, R, Python scripts, and Looker to create comprehensive analytics solutions
- Conduct data analysis using tools such as SQL, R, Python, and ETL processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Support database design efforts and implement efficient data models for reporting purposes
- Apply Agile methodologies throughout project lifecycles to ensure timely delivery and continuous improvement
- Maintain documentation of dashboards, data flows, and technical specifications following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) best practices
- Assist in troubleshooting issues related to Power BI reports or underlying data sources and implement enhancements as needed
Experience
- Proven experience developing Power BI dashboards in a fast-paced environment with a strong understanding of analytics principles
- Healthacre exp is a plus
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, or other relational databases; familiarity with database design concepts
- Experience working with ETL tools such as Talend or equivalent for data extraction and transformation processes
- Proficiency in programming languages like Python or R for advanced data analysis and automation tasks
- Knowledge of SDLC processes, project management practices, and Agile methodologies ensures smooth project execution
- Strong business analysis skills to interpret stakeholder needs into technical solutions
- Experience working with Unix shell scripting (Bash), VBA macros, or Visio for documentation purposes is advantageous
- Excellent analysis skills combined with the ability to communicate complex insights clearly across teams
