BIM Coordination / MEP Drafter, Fabrication / Shop Drawings

We model MEPF systems in 3D using fabricaiton software, clash test and produce Shop drawings to be fabricated and installed in the field. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a BIM Coordination / MEP Drafter, specializing in Fabrication and Shop Drawings. The role involves creating and managing detailed shop drawings, coordinating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEPF) systems within building models, and ensuring accurate and efficient designs. Responsibilities include collaboration with project teams, resolving design conflicts, and maintaining up-to-date Building Information Models (BIM) throughout the project lifecycle. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks
- Expertise in MEP drafting and design, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Strong skills in creating, managing, and modifying fabrication and shop drawings
- Problem-solving and coordination skills to resolve design conflicts efficiently
- Excellent collaboration and communication abilities for working with project teams remotely
- Understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations, with attention to detail in design accuracy
- Previous experience in construction, engineering, or related fields is preferred
- Degree in Construction Management is a plus.
- Add-insoftware such as Sysque, Fabrication Revit MEP or Evolve is highly preferred.
- Daily constant communication with the team memeber, and especially managers are required.
- Must be living in the United States. Most projects we are working on are Eastern or Centeral time so must be able to work daily between those time periods on an 8-5 schedule.
